Setting Up a Gmail Account for Sunday
A quick guide to creating a dedicated Gmail inbox for school emails, so Sunday only sees what you want her to see.
If you’d rather not give Sunday access to your main inbox, you can set up a separate Gmail account just for school emails. It takes about five minutes.
Step 1: Create a Google account
Go to accounts.google.com/signup and follow the steps.
A few tips:
- Pick something simple like
[email protected]or[email protected] - Use a password you’ll remember, or save it in a password manager
Step 2: Get school emails into this inbox
You’ve got two options:
Option A: Ask the school to update your email
Contact the school office and ask them to change your registered email to your new Gmail address. Most schools are happy to do this.
Option B: Forward from your current email
Keep your existing email registered with the school, but set up forwarding to your new Gmail. That way, school emails arrive in both places.
How to set up forwarding:
Step 3: Connect Sunday
Once school emails are arriving in your new Gmail, connect it to Sunday by signing up using your new Google account. She’ll only see that inbox, nothing else.
That’s it
You’ve got a dedicated inbox for school stuff, and Sunday can read it without touching your personal email.
